Script Your Future: Your Small Moment Could Be Someone's Big Day
On Secret World you can write the moment you want to happen, post it, and let people nearby make it real. Five minutes of your time can be the best part of a stranger's year.
You already script your life. You just do it alone.
You rehearse the proposal in the shower. You plan the birthday surprise in your Notes app. You picture the perfect reel, the perfect apology, the perfect first day at the new shop. Then real life shows up with one problem: it needs other people, and you don't have them.
Your friends are busy. Your group chat leaves you on read. Hiring a production company for a birthday is insane. So the moment stays in your head, and that's where most good moments die.
Secret World fixes the "other people" part.
What scripting your future actually looks like
On Secret World you post a Scene. A Scene is a small task with a story. You write what you want to happen, where, when, and what you'll pay. People nearby see it as a coin on the map and take it.
Some scripts people could write tomorrow:
- "My mom thinks everyone forgot her birthday. Need 5 people to walk into the bakery at 6pm and sing. $15 each."
- "I'm proposing in the park Saturday. Need someone to film it from behind the tree and act like a tourist. $40."
- "I'm shooting a reel and need one person to bump into me and drop their coffee. Dramatically. $10."
- "Opening my pop-up at noon. Need 8 people in line at 11:55 so it looks like the place to be. $10 each."
That last one is either genius or a crime against honesty. We'll let you decide. (It's genius. Every restaurant with a velvet rope already knows.)
You write it. The block plays it. You get the moment you pictured, not the one you settled for.
Your small moment, someone else's big day
Here's the part people miss. The person singing in the bakery isn't doing you a favor. They're getting paid to do something weird and fun for twenty minutes, and they walk out with a story.
The person filming the proposal? They were a background character in someone's best day ever. That's not a gig. That's a memory with a paycheck.
Most work feels like you're a cog. A Scene feels like you're in the movie. And for the mom in the bakery, five strangers singing to her is the day she remembers for ten years. Five people, twenty minutes each, one unforgettable afternoon. That math works out.
Why this didn't exist before
Craigslist was built before phones knew where you were. TaskRabbit is built for assembling furniture, not assembling a moment. Instagram can show your moment after it happens, but it can't help you make it happen.
Secret World is a map. It knows who's nearby right now. A script only works if the cast can actually show up in 20 minutes, and a map is the only thing that tells you who can.
How it works
1. Post a Scene. Pick Scene when you post, write the script, set the time, the place and the price.
2. People nearby see it. It shows up as a coin on the map for anyone close enough to get there.
3. Chat and lock it in. You talk in the app, agree on the details, and meet up.
4. Pay them directly. Cash, Venmo, Zelle, whatever you both want. Secret World doesn't touch the money and takes no cut.
5. It goes on their record. Every Scene someone plays goes on their Creator Card, so the next person who hires them knows they show up.
Posting is free. Taking a Scene is free. Nobody takes a percentage of anything.
Not in New York? Good.
Secret World started in New York City, but a Scene works anywhere there are people and a reason to celebrate. A birthday in Lagos, a proposal in Manila, a shop opening in London. Same script, different street.
Write the moment. Let the block play it.
Most people wait for good moments to happen to them. You can just write one. And somewhere a few blocks away, someone is looking for a reason to get off the couch, make $20, and be part of something.
Script your future. Somebody nearby is ready for their line.
